OBOL

For the OBOL collection coins were reproduced from original ancient Greek coins. Coins that were in circulation over 2400 years ago, a medium of exchange that had just been invented - the first coins were minted 650 years before Christ. The coins were made of gold and silver and bronze, size and stamp made their value unambiguous. Obols were smaller coins, six Obols made a Drachma, and since they were among the most common coins, they were changing hands all the time. These small coins are charged with history, the mintings indicate their worth beyond monetary value, beautifully adorned with ancient gods and godesses, muses and nymphs, animals and flowers.
